Le Pavillon de l’eau

Educational area about drinking water for 6-12 year olds

The experience also invites visitors to listen to the voices of those who keep Paris's water flowing, and to hear the stories told by heritage objects. Where does the water that flows from the tap come from?

At the Water Pavilion, Parisian schoolchildren aged 6 to 12 are conducting an investigation.

Around a large interactive table, the children are divided into teams by a facilitator. They manipulate objects, listen, and discover the uses of water, the journey that makes it drinkable, and how to protect it together in the face of climate change. The entire system is designed at a child's eye level to spark curiosity and encourage group cooperation.

We designed and created:

• The Drinking Water Factory. This multimedia installation is a collaborative investigation. Around a large interactive table, children work in teams to explore, gather clues, and compare answers. No one wins alone.

• The Voices of Water Professionals. Audio interviews give a voice to those who keep Paris's water flowing. Technicians and scientists talk about their work.

• Objects that speak. Audio installations bring iconic objects from the city's water heritage to life.

• A projection space invites visitors to slow down and immerses children in spectacular images of the Montsouris reservoir.
