Impressionist vision: birth and heritage

The château of Auvers-sur-Oise, a new scenography

The new visitor itinerary at the château of Auvers-sur-Oise retraces the story of Impressionism from its birth to its heirs. The scenographic choice is that of an immersive visit inside painting.

From Paris to the light of Auvers-sur-Oise, the visit, which lasts 60 minutes, highlights the main artistic figure of Vincent Van Gogh and the painters who spent time living in the Oise valley: Corot, Daubigny, Pissaro, Cézanne.... The visitor itinerary ends with a dialogue between Monet and artists from the 2Oth century, heirs of Impressionism.

The new scenography, cut in 8 sequences built around screenings of spectacular images, invents a real digital museum which immerses the visitor into the heart of a visual and sensory history of painting.
