HACK ME IF YOU CAN - TALES FROM THE DIGITAL BATTLEFIELD

A total immersion in the world of the dark web and the new battlefield created by the internet. Terrorist attacks, hybrid conflict in eastern Europe, hot war in the Middle East, lawless zones, arms and drug trafficking, confrontations between secret services, electronic bank robbery, the depths of the web are a new key piece in redefining the chess board of the world.

The internet has become a new sort of Battlefield.
States, networks, manufacturers, terrorists, hackers, here they all interact, while the States try to impose some control. This film introduces us to the daily reality of a new World War: side by side with the people involved in trying to fight delinquency, terrorism and espionage on the internet. All over the world, states are equipping themselves with the financial and judicial means to gain control over a space that has become completely uncontrollable.
But is that really possible? What measures can be put in place? What does it mean to “control the internet”? What technical, legal, political and ethical questions does this pose? Is it possible to control the internet while, at the same time allowing it to remain a place associated with freedom? It is easy to feel as though we are losing control especially as it is nearly impossible to understand the political and strategic realities of the situation without having all the information on how this game plays out on the global stage.
The film “Dark Web, The New Battlefields” aims to allow viewers to make up their own minds about this phenomenon.
