Their names are Valentin, Alicia, Samuel, Kenza, Pier, Chloé, Léo, Kim, Malia, Maxime, Benjamin, Johann, César... They are between 16 and 18 years old and are in their second year of "dance" training at the Conservatoire National de Paris, a school of excellence which prepares them to become professional dancers. In all, there are thirty students, half in classical and half in contemporary.
Danser proposes to follow these student dancers for a whole year. With the ambition of piercing the secret of their total artistic commitment, we vibrate with them to the rhythm of their deadlines each term, sharing their worries and their enthusiasm... as well as the quite singular way in which they seize the current revolutions around the body, genres and representations and sometimes try to move the lines of a standardized and demanding institution.
This series offers a unique experience within the Paris Conservatory by offering singular life stories. With the objective of telling a vibrant story: that of these young students who invest their bodies and souls to make their dreams come true.
