GUEST CHALET, Chamonix

Living in the mountains isn’t always easy! Projected across multiple screens, this show tells the story of how different animal and plant species have adapted, over time, to the geological, climatic, and environmental challenges of this unique ecosystem.

Combining filmed footage and motion design, it traces the incredible history of Mont Blanc—a “young” mountain 300 million years old—reveals the camouflage strategies of the ptarmigan and the chamois, and highlights the interdependence among all the species that share this territory.

An electroacoustic composition, inspired by the mountain and the elements that shape it, accompanies visitors on a dizzying journey through time.

The accounts gathered from three naturalists and a philosopher describe their observations at high altitudes and explore our relationship with living things.
