The CNCS is a museum dedicated to the material heritage of theaters. It houses a unique collection of 10,000 stage costumes from the Bibliothèque nationale de France, the Comédie-Française and the Opéra national de Paris.
The museum is now opening a new space entirely dedicated to scenography.
At the entrance, Drôle de Trame has created a large immersive projection that gives the floor to scenographers of different generations and aesthetics such as Yannis Kokkos, Robert Carsen, Chantal Thomas, Eric Soyer or Louise Sari who share their visions of the profession.
The visitor then enters a space conceived as a workshop for work and creation. Drôle de Trame has produced several short documentaries and archival montages on the backstage of the scenography of a show.
We also produced a soundtrack to accompany a sound and light show.
